My name is David Kekana.I am 26 year’s old and one of the lucky individuals to be part of the first generation to study New Venture Creations NQF Level 4 with Elada Consulting through my local community centre Mandelaville Crisis Centre.

I started this journey with the intention to learn how to write a business plan and learn as much as I can about being an entrepreneur. The course modules cover topics such as how to research your business idea viability, your target market and assists you to identify factors that will help you create a unique offering through your business. This is very evident in the course modules which cover computer knowledge, business management and finance, communication and your role as a CEO. The challenges I went through completing my activities have sharpen my mind to be open and broadened in the business aspect. As well as developing a constructive and innovative way to look at Business problems to solve them and persevere in the eyes of setbacks.

The facilitators use an open discussion way of

learning which encourages more interaction from us learners to stimulate creative thinking problem solving and understanding how to analyse information to understand what is required. They are hands on and always available to assist either in person or through other means such as WhatsApp or email.

I feel very privileged and honored to have completed this course, I have developed my own business idea through the course insights, I am happy to even say that my business was registered and besides the challenges I am going through at the moment my business will grow.
